The Cross River Movement (TCRM), a non-governmental, not-for-profit, and non-partisan organization, in collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Cross River State is holding a Voter Education Training (VET). Organizers say the essence of the VET exercise is to equip partner organizations with voter education strategies and tools, ahead of the general elections in 2023. As said by the Founder of TCRM: “Political engagement in Cross River State is very low. The pattern shows that only 25% of eligible voters vote. It is our goal that this VET will contribute to the increase in voter turnout from 25% to 50% of eligible voters.”

The Founder stressed that all media houses (public and private), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and the general public are invited to take part in the exercise.
